The Snake Chalmer - Indian Restaurant - Unley

Great selection of authentic, classic Indian cuisine – goat durbari, lamb curry crepe and tandoori dishes. Freshly prepared not too spicy and not too bland. I went there tonight with a group of six. We each ordered a separate main to share with some rice and naan bread. Each dish was delicious. The service was good, no complaints but nothing really to write home about either. The atmosphere is nice, a bit chilly. The music playing in the background from what I remember was some “Crowded House” which was surprising because I was expecting some funky Indian music. The venue itself was not too loud which was great because we didn’t have to struggle to hear each other talk. Conveniently located just five minutes from the city with bus stop access and plenty of parking. Take away and delivery service is also available and I hear that they sometimes have a belly dancer although being a Monday night we didn’t get to experience that first hand.
