“I have just tonight picked up my brand new i30 From the time I ‘browsed’ last Saturday I fell in love with the new Active i30 when I test drove it, I previously had a Holden and in the past year have been stressed and upset and on the verge of taking action against a certain branch due to negligence of my car….I have had the most amazing and best service ever! from the staff atAdrien Brien Hyundai! It was a low act that saw volunteer firefighter John Dickson’s car stolen while he was out saving lives and property. Fortunately the Fiat Chrysler Group stepped in and gave him a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland.
A Current Affair reported the story and the general public’s response to Fiat Chrysler’s quick and very generous donation has been overwhelming. With 29,543 people liking the photo onFacebook, 1,596 shares and 1,231 comments this is a great example of social media making a positive impact on the community!

Recently A.P. Eagers (parent company of Adrian Brien Automotive) celebrated 100 years in the automotive business. E.G. Eager and Son Limited was registered as a limited liability company on the 7th of January 1913.
The Daily Mail reported that Messrs E.G. Eager & Son Ltd had settled down in the new garage in 299 Adelaide Street, Brisbane. They had bought Alfred Shaw’s bulk stores, next door to the Continental Tire Company and would be one of the first up-to-date garages in Queensland.

The companies added that SYNC will be inside 13 million vehicles by 2015, a massive increase in growth compared to its first five years.

Great question Jane! A hill holder is any device that prevents a car from rolling backward on a hill when the brake pedal is released. The earliest hill holders were used in horse drawn carriages and early horseless carriages. They were often home-made or made by a local blacksmith. These early hill holders were little more than a heavy iron weight with a spike or other sharp end that could be quickly dropped behind a wheel when the need arose, preventing the vehicle from rolling backward.

The annual Adtrans Group golf day was held on Friday the 23rd of November 2012 at Glenelg Golf Course.
This was the 25th event and over the years has raised over $1.2 million, predominately for children’s charities.
This year was another great success with $119,000 raised, overtaking last year’s record of around $102,000.
The very first event raised $6,900 and we were very pleased with that (around $12,000 in today’s money) at the time.
