The Hills Youth Theatre is unique in that it is the only youth theatre in South Australia with its ‘own theatre’. All of the company’s classes and productions are held within the walls of the Stirling Community Theatre. This is an enormous advantage to students as they are able to rehearse and perform in the same space and have a sense of ‘home’. This also means that HYT is lucky enough to have a large collection of resources and support to back up their productions and classes. The Hills Youth Theatre works on an inclusive principle, ensuring that all students have access to productions and learning experiences, and that it is not just about building theatrical skills, but also about having fun, building confidence and making life-long friendships.
